I think it turned out pretty well!
Ingredients:
1 bottle of white wine (I used Woodbridge Pinot Grigio)
1 bottle sparkling juice (I used Wegmans apple peach)
1/4 cup raspberry vodka
1 apple
1 mango
5 strawberries
Directions: Mix and chill for at least 5 hours (the more the better IMO).

We have recently discovered that G has a very unusual TV preference for a toddler. He definitely takes after his daddy in this aspect. At least I now know what they do at night when I'm at work. Take a look...
And that wasn't the only time....he pretty consistently says yes to this question but we were able to catch it on video a second time!

My son is a funny kid. He has a pretty big imagination and loves dancing and singing....On July 4th weekend, we decided to get out a tricycle that his grandparents got him. He had never ridden a bike before but we figured it would be fun for him. When he got on the trike, he started singing a song from Yo Gabba Gabba (his favorite show). I am pretty sure he was pretending he was in the show... Day 4 -This was our last day of our museum pass so we decided to go to the Army Museum and Napoleon's Tomb. The Army Museum was really for Justin; so he could get his history geek on; but I thought it was pretty interesting as well. This museum probably had the most modern exhibits I have seen in Paris so far...very interactive, English and French translations for everything, and these cool Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-40005982751446585092011-02-26T13:43:00.000-05:002011-02-26T13:43:51.716-05:00Paris - Day 3
Ok, so obviously, I did not do such a good job keeping up with the blog while we were in Paris. I am going to try my hardest to complete these postings this weekend!
Day 3 - Valentine's Day! We had a 4 day museum pass so we decided to go to the Cluny Museum, which has a ton of stained glass and religious artifacts. It was pretty interesting! After that, we walked to the Marais district (kind ofUnknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-87454434107963002562011-02-14T10:04:00.000-05:002011-02-14T10:04:10.241-05:00Paris - Day 2
On day 2 of our trip, we decided to activate our museum passes! We accidentally slept in until 10am so we had room service for breakfast and then we were off. We chose the Louvre as our first museum destination. We saw a majority of the museum exhibits but we definitely didn't see it all (everything closes around 6pm if it's open at all on Sundays here). My favorite part was the exhibits of Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-66987775199382470672011-02-12T16:50:00.000-05:002011-02-12T16:50:20.813-05:00Paris Trip 2011 - Day 1
Most of you probably know by now that Justin and I are beginning a 8 day vacation in Paris this weekend. I figure since I am here and tons of people have asked me to make recommendations to them when I get back, that I would just blog about my whole trip so I can remember the places we liked and the places we might have not liked so much. So....here is my recap of Day 1 in Paris.
We actuallyUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-50370169451566422292010-11-21T21:17:00.000-05:002010-11-21T21:17:10.648-05:00Mini Crustless Pumpkin "Pies"
Today I made a pumpkin pie for G's daycare Thanksgiving feast. And as you may know, last time I made a pumpkin pie, it didn't turn out so well because I over-filled the crust. Well, this time, I made sure NOT to over-fill the crust and ended up with about a half-a-second-pie's worth of filling. Now, I don't like to let things go to waste and my wonderful husband loves pumpkin pie so much that I Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-70652807241562416462010-11-11T21:51:00.000-05:002010-11-11T21:51:39.346-05:00I need to give this blog a makeover.
It's been a loooong time since I've updated the look of the blog. I definitely need to change the banner picture but I'm kind of feeling a total overhaul of the look of the blog. Any ideas?
I went ahead and tried out the new template creator....it's OK. I wish I knew how to make blog templates...that's not on my list of skills quite yet but I'm sure I can teach myself how to do it. That would Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-28388545092452668172010-11-10T20:18:00.000-05:002010-11-10T20:18:56.769-05:00Recipe Review: Tilapia w/Peach BBQ Sauce
I decided to mix it up this week and make something totally different from what I usually make during the week for dinner. I found this Paula Deen recipe online and decided it sounded pretty yummy. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as it sounded. The first thing that should have caught my attention is that the BBQ sauce called for oil. Now, I don't make many BBQ sauces from scratch but I don't Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-27181194629139913872010-11-07T21:34:00.001-05:002010-11-07T21:34:54.640-05:00Halloween 2010Click here to view this photo book largerUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-87613363322200173112010-10-31T17:02:00.001-04:002010-10-31T17:03:15.625-04:00Sock Monkey 1st Birthday
For G's first birthday, I wanted to do something small because I knew he wouldn't be ready for a crazy party. Plus, he couldn't walk at that point so I didn't want to go somewhere like My Gym. So, we decided to have a backyard bash and theme - Sock Monkey.
It was really hard to find decorations to go along with the theme so I went mostly with a sock monkey-esque color pallet.

OK, I really have been trying to find time to update the blog and it just isn't working out. One day, I will be caught up to the current times. Anyway, I'm going to try and power through the Summer/Fall pictures so I can start talking about what is happening now instead of what happened months and months ago. Here goes...

For Father's Day this year I thought I'd try something crafty to give to Justin that Gareth and I could do together. So, I came up with the idea to get some letters and take some pictures to spell out "Daddy". It took me a really long time to get the right pictures! Gareth didn't want to look at the camera or hold the letters. Seems like an easy task, to get a baby to hold some letters Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-17996361132048152672010-08-29T16:19:00.000-04:002010-08-29T16:19:29.592-04:00This Summer
So I haven't really posted much this summer because frank;y, I haven't had the time. So now, I will play catch-up with what we've been up to this summer. Here is our summer in a nut-shell:
After we moved into our new house, we didn't do much for a little while...
...Then it was Father's Day
...Then it was 4th of July
...Then we went to NYC for Hunter's birthday

This week for some reason, I have not been able to sleep. Maybe it's just that I'm getting use to this whole mommy thing and I don't need to go to bed as early as I have been the past 10 months. Or maybe there's another reason. I don't really know why. What I do know is that while I have not been able to sleep, I have taken to browsing Netflix on-demand and have found a new "old" show I've kind Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-22037539603898009482010-05-28T21:23:00.003-04:002010-05-28T21:26:53.396-04:00Show Us Your Life - Things That Make You Happy
This week's show us your life on Kelly's Korner is about things that you love and/or make you happy. Some things that make me happy are...
1. Justin
2. Gareth
3. Zoe
4. Creating new designs
5. Learning new Illustrator/Photoshop tricks
6. The beach (wish I was there right now!)
7. And last but not least...snowcones!

We didn't really have any "meat" (meaning a meat that Justin would find acceptable as a meal) and I really really didn't want hot dogs again. I remembered we had some pesto that I had bought a while ago, some pasta and asparagus. And somehow, I came up with this Asparagus and Penne with Pesto Cream Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-7267683283116160962010-05-16T12:42:00.000-04:002010-05-16T12:42:38.017-04:00A New RecipeI've decided that since I like to cook so much I should start posting some of the new recipes I try out to share with everyone. I promise, I will only post them if they turn out well! This past week, I decided to try out French Onion Soup. My mom made it when she came to visit last time and she also bought me oven-safe bowls for Christmas so I decided I needed to try this one out.

This week on Kelly's Korner, the Show Us Your Life theme is Books. I have to admit, I used to read a lot and now, I find I don't have much time for reading (and I have a hard time getting into books I do read). But, when I can find the time to read, my favorite books lately are the books in the Sookie Stackhouse series. You know, the books that True Blood is based off of? Right now, I am on BookUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7406179880843373785.post-23492357086270987942010-05-14T12:34:00.001-04:002010-05-14T12:35:32.216-04:00I got an award! So I logged on to Gmail this morning to check my email like I do almost every day. Today, I saw I had a comment from Emily at Live a Charmed Life on my blog and found out she gave me an award! This is my first blog award and I would like to pass it on to other bloggers I know. So, here's a shout out to some of the mommies I follow:

I think our son has a pretty unique name but really, only family and close friends know where it came from. When Justin and I first found out we were going to have a baby, we went through many many many names before we could find any we agreed upon. Feels like yesterday. Lately, he is very "grabby" as Justin calls it. He has to hold everything (and put it in his mouth). Some new developments this month in addition to moving into his new room in our new house:1.) He is saying "mama"2.) He likes to stand up (while we hold him or while he holds onto the couch, table, whatever)3.) He is Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
