Today is Zoe's 5th birthday!! Happy Birthday Zoe!

Puerto Rico!!

My company sent Justin and I to Puerto Rico for a long weekend last weekend. It was so much fun. I didn't want to leave and come back to the real world! We stayed at this resort which was pretty much like a city. There were restaurants, a casino, clubs, shops and a private island (which is where the beach was). The water was turquoise blue and you could pretty much see straight through. We stayed on the resort pretty much the whole trip except for one night when we went out to dinner with our group and then on a nighttime kayaking trip! I got to see these organisms glow blue in the water in this bay. It was really cool. I posted some pictures below but the rest are on facebook.

Halloween 2008

I'm finally getting around to posting Halloween pictures! Justin did a really great job carving our pumpkin this year! Then, instead of staying in our house and giving out candy, we brought our fire pit outside to the corner of our townhouse row and had a little party with our neighbors while we gave out candy. It was a lot of fun!

Justin and I didn't dress up but, Zoe did! She was an Ewok. She didn't mind too much at first (I think because it was cold out) but after an hour or so, I had to take the costume off of her.

Our first post!

Now that we've been in DC for 2 years, we figured it was time to start a blog so everyone can keep up with us and keep in touch. So, here's a little update on us.

I am still working at Carahsoft, an IT company, as a Senior Marketing Coordinator and Justin is working at Grainger as a Sales Team Leader. I am also going to be coaching a local high school gymnastics team in my spare time this winter. And in Justin's spare time he plays rec soccer. We really enjoy living in the DC area. And for those of you haven't seen our house, I have posted a few pictures. And no, it's not snowing here YET. But, it might soon!
